Your Relationship Roadmap: What works? What doesn’t? Cultivating connections.
We all have ups and downs in our relationships. How do we navigate those ups and downs? In this evening conversation-workshop, we will learn from one another, learn new ways to view relationships, understand our emotions, and communicate what we are feeling and what we want. All meaningful relationships are messy and beautiful. Let’s have some candid conversations, and explore what it means to love with curiosity, lightness, and an open heart. Everyone will go home a relationship toolkit.
This special workshop is hosted by The Stinging Nettles very own Dr. Mike Remshard, Ph.D and his colleague, Emily Pfizenmayer, M.Ed.
Mike Remshard, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in Colorado, a transplant from Philadelphia, PA. Mike has extensive experience working with couples, He loves the work. Mike has been trained through the Emotionally Focused Therapy of New Jersey, and the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. Mike’s background includes 25 years of working with couples. He completed his doctorate at Temple University, and post-doctoral training at Wichita State University. Mike likes to add lightness and humor to the sometimes challenging and deeper work of helping couples love one another through disconnection back to reconnection.
Emily Pfizenmayer, M.Ed., is an expert in helping couples move beyond the chaos and confusion of partnership to find clarity, connection, and lasting direction. For nearly a decade, Emily has been immersed in the dynamics of emotion regulation, effective communication, and genuine connection with families nationwide. She specializes in transforming complex household chaos by helping people establish effective, emotionally regulated systems—all while fiercely affirming emotions and prioritizing connection before correction. Emily believes every relationship can find its “true direction.” She is excited to partner with Dr. Remshard to help couples stop guessing and start building a resilient, connected partnership rooted in skill and genuine understanding.
