Guys, I am so excited about this! I had no idea this would be so easy. As you know, I am a big fan of elderberry syrup during the cooler months. It is such a great cold and flu fighting natural remedy that we use it daily. However, when dealing with natural, healthy remedies in the house, it can be hard getting your kiddos to take their daily dose. Having little babes, the elderberry syrup can also get a little messy when they try and take it. Someone cant figure out how to lean over and it goes everywhere or “they can do it themselves”.. goes everywhere. It becomes a whole thing. So, while mama will always prefer to take the syrup as is (or on my pancakes) I must say the kiddos tried the elderberry gummies and loved them! This makes it a lot easier on mom while the kiddos get so excited to have “gummy bears” every day.
This recipe will require elderberry syrup which you can check out how to make and all its benefits here.
Regarding the silicon molds, I used these.
TIP: If you prefer to skip the molds, you can always pour into a glass container as well. After they have cured, you can cut the elderberry gummy mold into little squares and store that way too.
Enjoy!
Did you try them? How did they turn out?
