Carly came to herbalism in order to have autonomy over her health care. Learning how to heal herself was empowering and offered her a sense of control and relief that positively impacted her life. This is something that she feels passionately about and wants to help others attain – the ability to help them help themselves. Carly believes we are the masters of our own healing and that taking steps in one’s life to find equilibrium within feels like the ultimate puzzle. With practice, we can bring ourselves into alignment with the plants and nutrients that our bodies have evolved with. Using food as medicine, plants as allies, and vitalism as our guides, Carly is happy to assist with any goals necessary to get one to a state of thriving.
Carly has been working as a floral designer for almost 20 years. Her hands-on work with plants has been a huge part of her connection to the natural world. She deepened her studies with plants and plant medicine beginning in 2017 before eventually attending the California School of Herbal Studies where she completed courses in medicine making and body systems. She has completed the curriculum at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism with certificates in Fundamentals, Advanced Herbalism, and Clinical Herbalism; cumulatively she has over 1,500 hours of studies in Western Herbalism to date.
Outside of her herbal work, Carly spends her time enjoying all the beauty that Colorado has to offer, including hiking the trails, skiing, hot springing, and camping as much as possible.
