How to Make Fire Cider November 9th, 2024

Come cozy up in The Stinging Nettle classroom and learn how to make Fire Cider! Fire Cider is a traditional remedy made by extracting warming and aromatic herbs into vinegar and honey, also referred to as an oxymel. These preparations warm the body, support the immune system, and rev up our vitality to fend off infection during the cold and flu season, or anytime of the year! In this class, Samantha will demonstrate how to make two different preparations of fire cider and share wisdom about the different qualities the herbs and ingredients offer as medicine. You will go home with a 2 oz bottle of fire cider to enjoy after the class as well as the skills to create your own homemade fire cider remedies using ingredients already in your kitchen or easily found at the grocery store or apothecary.
